Assistance is extended to students to attend Catholic schools. Both financial and spiritual support is offered. Students of all faiths are welcome to apply. Each student must complete a "Covenant" with St. Mary's and be in good academic standing.

Father Tom O'Conner believed that the Soup Kitchen provided 'food for the body', and the Bells program provided 'food for the soul'.
